ARTIST GARDEN: The Boat Project/ everything will be fine
Ernest Daetwyler
2018 - 2020

Short Image Description

This summer, Canadian artist Ernest Daetwyler is building a new site-specific work in the Museum's Artist Garden. He will transform pieces of driftwood into a boat form, embedded with a steelcut text message, to create a visual environment for both active engagement and reflection. An appropriate work for the heart of McMaster campus, the surreal and poetic installation is intended to symbolize a time of change, challenges, and the existential fluctuations that life can present.

Stay tuned for future posts featuring the artist at work at McMaster.
