FEEDING CANADA SCREENING MARCH 18 - 21ST 8 PM.

FEEDING CANADA - "A rare and poignant inside look at the lives, motivations and dreams of Canada's migrant farmworkers - hardworking people who are too often ignored and maligned by the very populations who benefit from their labor. Both heartbreaking and heartwarming, the stories shared in this film challenge stereotypes and negative assumptions about migrant workers, illustrating the heroic sacrifices they make to help Canada and support families and communities in their home countries. A film that will stimulate greater understanding and debate around issues of globalization, political economy and migration." - Regina Marchi PhD in Communications at University of California with a special focus on how marginal populations and how they are represented in the media.

Welcome to Feeding Canada. This film was inspired by the positive side of the migrant worker story and dispel many myths surrounding the worker program.

Unfortunately not all Canadians have had the chance to meet the migrant farmworkers, until now, in this documentary. This farm worker program has benefited hundreds of thousands of families and communities in third world countries, all while providing an outstanding selection of fresh produce and meat to Canadians and beyond.

These men and women sacrifice greatly large amounts of their lives for this opportunity. Please take an hour to meet them. They will warm your hearts.

Originally made for Bell Fibe TV1 as a four part series, we have now stitched it together for an one-hour documentary.
